Onyx is everything her name promises – jet black with rich tan points, polled, and built with more substance than you might expect from a yearling.
She is a correct, well-balanced doe with good length through the body, a level topline, clean front end, and solid body depth that reads as genuine rather than growth-phase roundness. She carries herself with real presence and moves freely. Structurally she is one of the more complete yearlings in the herd, and we are genuinely looking forward to her first freshening.
Her dam is Soaring Heart’s Obsidian 3*P AR 3*D ↗, a 3*P doe from one of the most productive lines at Soaring Heart’s Farm. Her great-granddam is Soaring Heart’s Lavender Blue 3*P ↗ – a 2023 Oregon State Fair Total Performer and two-time TMGR Top 5 doe – making her a close relative of our own Kiss. Her sire is Daystar’s Sir Jethro *B ↗. The production depth in this pedigree is real and well-documented.
