By placing a reservation or completing a purchase with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms:
All sales are final. No refunds or returns of any kind will be accepted. Once an animal or product leaves our care, its condition, handling, and outcome are beyond our control. For biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety reasons, we do not accept returns under any circumstances.
Food & Product Disclaimer: All products are sold ungraded and uninspected unless otherwise stated. We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or adverse reactions resulting from the consumption or use of our products, or from contact with items or environments on our property.
Our products may contain or come into contact with honey, fruits, vegetables, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, and other potential allergens. While we take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from allergens. Individuals with allergies or sensitivities should not consume our products.
Canned goods are processed using methods intended to comply with USDA food safety guidelines. However, home-processed foods inherently carry risk, and we cannot guarantee the absence of contamination. Consumption is at the buyer's own risk.
All sales are final. No refunds or returns of any kind will be accepted. We stand behind our animals and products and want every buyer to be satisfied, but once an animal or item leaves our care, its condition and handling are beyond our control. For biosecurity, safety, and welfare reasons, we do not accept returns under any circumstances.
Why do hatching eggs cost more than table eggs? Hatching eggs require significantly more labor and monitoring. We regularly test fertility, which involves opening and discarding eggs to check for development. Hatching eggs are turned daily to prevent embryos from adhering to the shell and are selected for freshness and fertility. Table eggs, by contrast, are sold oldest to newest and are not sorted by fertility or breed.
We're approved to ship hatching eggs to most U.S. states. Please check your state's requirements ↗ before ordering. When required, we provide VS Form 9-3 and maintain AI Clean status.
Hatching eggs ship Monday through Tuesday after payment is received. Shipment may be delayed due to extreme temperatures, hen health concerns, or fertility issues – these decisions are made to improve the likelihood of a successful hatch.
Hatchability is not guaranteed. Shipped eggs can hatch anywhere from 0% to 100% depending entirely on how they're handled in transit. Even short car rides can cause enough jostling to disrupt embryo development. A poor hatch does not mean eggs were infertile or old – only that they experienced stress during transport. Shipping eggs always carries inherent risk, which is reflected in their pricing compared to live birds.
Packaging varies depending on egg size, quantity, and material availability. Eggs ship in either foam shippers or individual bubble wrap with wood shavings for cushioning. If you have a packaging preference, let us know and we'll accommodate when possible.
Shipping costs are based on current USPS rates and packaging materials. Priority shipping with packaging typically runs $25–$35 and fits 1–2 dozen chicken eggs. Priority Express generally runs $75–$100. We do not use fragile stickers or special labels – USPS handling practices do not reliably honor them.
Sales Policy
All sales are final. No refunds or returns of any kind will be accepted. Deposits, Reservations & Marek's Vaccine
We do not accept reservations far in advance of a hatch. Deposits are only accepted to hold a bird that already exists, a bird that is expected to exist based on confirmed hatch progress, or to purchase the Marek's vaccine.
The Marek's vaccine is optional and available by request.
Deposits are optional. However, birds without a deposit will continue to be advertised and remain available to other buyers until pickup.
Deposits are nonrefundable except in the following situations:
In these cases, you may choose a refund for the unavailable birds, substitution with birds of equal value, or application of the deposit toward a future hatch.
Hatch timelines typically run 21–35 days depending on species.
Interstate Transport & Health Requirements
Our birds are approved for transport to most U.S. states. Please check your state's requirements ↗ before arranging transport. We provide VS Form 9-3 documentation and maintain AI Clean status.
Shipping & Delivery Options
We do not ship live birds via USPS due to repeated delivery delays and reliability concerns.
Live bird transport is available through:
Pickup, Boarding & Delivery Fees
The buyer is responsible for arranging transportation of all live animals. A boarding fee of $1 per day applies if a purchased animal is not picked up at the agreed-upon time.
We're happy to meet within 30 minutes of Mishicot, Wisconsin at no charge – typically Green Bay or Manitowoc.
Delivery beyond this area may be available for $2.00 per loaded mile, calculated one-way from our property to the delivery location. If we're already traveling in that direction, we can often waive or reduce the fee.
Long-Distance Transport
For transport beyond our range, we've worked with several trusted livestock transporters. See our recommended transporters.
We do not routinely vaccinate our own birds, but we do offer the Marek's vaccine as an optional add-on for buyers purchasing chicks. It is not administered by default, and our parent stock is not vaccinated.
The Marek's vaccine is available for an additional $75 per hatch, which covers the vaccine vial, overnight shipping to us, and injection supplies. When multiple buyers request vaccinated chicks from the same hatch, we make every effort to group those orders and may be able to partially refund vaccine costs accordingly.
Experienced breeders and poultry advisors often recommend the Marek's vaccine given the severity of the disease and its widespread presence – particularly for birds that may attend shows, swap meets, or other events where exposure risk is higher.
Our decision not to vaccinate our own flocks comes down to personal management preference. Current Marek's vaccines reduce the likelihood of clinical symptoms but don't fully prevent infection or transmission. We prefer to monitor our birds closely for visible signs of illness rather than rely on symptom suppression – an approach that keeps us transparent about the health of birds leaving our care.
We also have access to several additional poultry vaccines and are willing to administer them upon request. These require full, nonrefundable payment in advance. Available options include Mycoplasma Gallisepticum, Fowl Pox, Coccidiosis, Newcastle, Salmonella, and Coryza. Some vaccines are not safe for use around turkeys – buyers are responsible for researching compatibility before requesting vaccination.
We make our best effort to estimate sex, but we cannot guarantee gender accuracy. Even in autosexing breeds, day-old chicks can be incorrectly sexed approximately 10–20% of the time. We do not vent sex chicks, as the procedure carries a significant risk of injury or death even when performed by trained professionals. For these reasons, we cannot offer refunds, replacements, or returns if an animal is incorrectly sexed.
Some breeds may take several months to reliably confirm sex, and certain breeds may require DNA testing or observation of egg-laying to determine sex with certainty.
If you receive an unwanted male and processing isn't preferred, we recommend reaching out to local livestock communities, farm families, or specialty animal owners who may be able to rehome him. Rooster rescues are also an option for males you'd like to see live out their natural lives.
We participate in the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) and complete annual testing for Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian Influenza. Due to the nature of livestock sales, we cannot guarantee the health or viability of any animal once it leaves our property, and all sales are final.
To maintain our NPIP status and uphold strict biosecurity standards, we do not allow visitors into poultry areas or permit buyers to select birds directly from brooders. We're happy to provide photos or videos of available birds upon request. Our flocks are primarily closed, with occasional additions from other NPIP-certified operations to prevent inbreeding. Any incoming birds are strictly quarantined for a minimum of one to two months.
We do not have routine access to an avian veterinarian for on-site blood draws and do not conduct additional disease testing unless there is a specific cause for concern. If illness or unexplained loss is suspected, samples are submitted to an accredited laboratory for diagnostic testing. Documentation from prior testing is available upon request.
We carefully select breeding stock from strong, well-established lines, many with exhibition winners in their pedigrees, and strive to adhere to the American Poultry Association Standard of Perfection and applicable breed club guidelines. Even so, this does not guarantee that any individual animal or its offspring will be show quality or earn awards.
Even among elite breeding programs, only a small percentage of birds will meet true exhibition standards. This variation is an inherent part of genetics and cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
In the interest of transparency, we openly list known faults and areas we're actively working to improve on each breed's individual page. Our breeding goals focus on long-term improvement and responsible stewardship of each breed rather than guaranteed show outcomes.
We cannot guarantee specific egg color, shade, shape, or size. Each breed produces a range of approved egg colors, and individual birds may lay slightly different eggs. Egg characteristics can vary by season, age of the bird, diet, and even day to day.
All sales are final. No refunds or returns of any kind will be accepted. We stand behind our animals and want every buyer to be satisfied, but once a goat leaves our care, its handling and condition are beyond our control. For biosecurity, safety, and animal welfare reasons, we do not accept returns.
The sole exception, as outlined in our Health & Viability Disclaimer, is if a goat is found to have a congenital defect that permanently prevents use in breeding – such as intersex status or additional orifices. In that case, we will offer either a refund of the difference between breeding and pet pricing or a replacement, at our discretion.
Right of First Refusal: We reserve the right of first refusal on any goat bred by us. If you are selling a goat purchased from us, we ask for the opportunity to buy them back before they are offered elsewhere. This applies only if the goat has remained in quarantine and/or your herd has tested negative for CAE, CL, and Johne's. We may not always be able to exercise this right due to herd capacity or life circumstances, but we ask to be given the option.
Seller's Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel a sale at any time, for any reason, at our discretion. Any deposit paid will be refunded in full if we cancel.
Semen Retention Clause: We reserve the right to collect up to 30 semen straws from any intact buck sold by us, at any point during his lifetime, at the cost of collection only.
Sales Priority: Priority is given to Performance Herds. If multiple parties express interest in the same goat, priority is as follows: Us > Paid reservations > Performance Herds > Waitlist > General public.
Priority applies unless a goat has already been reserved with a deposit.
Performance Incentive: For each registered JKHerdItAll or JKShrunkTheKids goat, we offer the original buyer a $50 incentive for each of the following achievements earned while in the buyer's care:
That's a potential incentive of up to $150 per Oberhasli or Guernsey and $100 per Mini Nubian (Mini Nubians are not eligible for Linear Appraisal).
Payment at Pickup: Accepted forms of payment for balances due are cash, PayPal Friends & Family, Venmo Friends & Family, or Zelle. Full payment must be received before any animal leaves our care. We do not accept checks. Friends & Family payment methods are required due to the risk of chargebacks after animals have been transferred.
To be notified when a goat becomes available, ask about our free waitlist. We contact individuals on the waitlist in order as animals become available. Performance Herds receive priority placement.
If a goat isn't yet ready to leave or pickup can't be arranged right away, a deposit may be placed to reserve the animal. A deposit removes the animal from active advertising and holds it until pickup. Deposits may only be placed by individuals 18 years of age or older.
Deposits are not required to purchase an animal. You're welcome to wait and pay in full at pickup – however, animals without a deposit will continue to be advertised and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Deposit Policy: Deposits are nonrefundable except in the event we are unable to meet the specifications agreed upon when the deposit was placed. If we cannot meet those specifications, you may choose to receive a refund, apply the deposit toward a different animal, or roll it forward to the following year.
If an animal meeting the agreed-upon specifications becomes available and you decline it for any reason, the deposit is forfeited. Additionally, if a deposit has been placed on a kid and pickup has not occurred or been scheduled by 10 weeks of age, the deposit will be forfeited and the animal returned to active advertising.
Accepted payment methods for deposits include cash, PayPal Friends & Family, Venmo Friends & Family, and Zelle. We do not accept checks. Friends & Family payment methods are required due to the risk of chargebacks after livestock has been transferred.
Livestock Transport Policy
The buyer is responsible for arranging transportation of all livestock. Any health certificates or Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (CVIs) required for transport are also the buyer's responsibility to obtain and coordinate.
Pickup & Boarding
Animals must be picked up by the agreed-upon date unless other arrangements have been made in advance. A boarding fee of $3 per day applies if an animal isn't picked up as scheduled.
Local Meetups & Delivery
We're happy to meet within 30 minutes of Mishicot, Wisconsin at no charge – typically Green Bay or Manitowoc.
Delivery beyond this area may be available for $2.00 per loaded mile, calculated one-way from our property to the delivery location. If we're already traveling in that direction, we can often waive or reduce the fee.
Long-Distance Transport
For transport beyond our driving range, buyers may arrange their own livestock transporter. We've worked with several trusted professionals. See our recommended transporters.
Professional livestock transport isn't inexpensive, but these services provide experienced handling and solid care throughout transit.
All of our goats originate from herds tested free of the Big Three diseases (CAE, CL, and Johne's), and all goats on our property have tested negative while in our care. Due to the recent addition of a small number of new herd members, all kids are bottle-fed with pasteurized milk and housed separately from the main herd. This protocol further reduces the risk of undiagnosed disease transmission.
If you'd prefer a dam-raised kid, we're happy to recommend trusted breeders who offer that option.
Despite rigorous sanitation, coccidia management is necessary in our climate. We use preventative measures including herbal support. We also use Pro-Bac-C (lasalocid with probiotics). If a kid develops clinical coccidiosis despite preventative measures, treatment is provided under veterinary guidance.
Bottle-raised kids are typically ready to leave for their new homes at approximately 4–5 weeks of age. A boarding fee of $3 per day applies if a kid hasn't been picked up or scheduled for pickup by 10 weeks of age.
All kids will be disbudded unless full purchase price is paid within five (5) days of birth. There's a narrow window in which disbudding can be performed safely, and horned dairy goats are significantly more difficult to place in appropriate homes.
Disbudding may result in scurs, particularly in buck kids. While the procedure is performed by an experienced veterinarian, scurs can still occur and are considered a known and accepted risk.
All kids will receive ear tattoos. Tail web microchipping is available upon request for an additional $15.
For buck kids intended for ADGA registration, DNA testing will be submitted as required. DNA testing for other registries may be arranged at the buyer's expense.
For kids intended for registration, we offer to submit online ADGA and/or BGS registration applications and transfers when possible. Buyers must provide their full legal name, registry ID, phone number, email address, and mailing address to complete the transfer. Paper applications may be provided upon request. MDGA goats are typically provided with paper applications, though online submission can be arranged if preferred. MDGA-registered goats may also be registered with TMGR by the new owner using the MDGA certificate.
Wethers and goats sold as Pet Only are sold without registration papers or applications.
We manage our herd and land as naturally as possible while recognizing that goats raised in Wisconsin may occasionally need additional support to thrive in this climate.
Our retained breeding animals are vaccinated with Cavalry 9 for clostridial diseases and tetanus. We vaccinated for pneumonia for a period of years after bringing in a carrier animal, but haven't continued it as a standing protocol since resolving that situation. Respiratory vaccination may be used situationally if herd history warrants it. All kids receive TriShield First Defense and Bovisera at birth – both biological products that support passive immunity in newborns.
Vaccination decisions are highly individual, and we respect that buyers may have different management preferences. All adult animals sold have been vaccinated with Cavalry 9. Kids listed for sale are not routinely vaccinated with Cavalry 9 or similar products unless specifically requested – they receive passive immunity from their dams and may be vaccinated upon arrival at their new home. Vaccination prior to pickup is available upon request – just ask at the time of purchase.
The buyer has the opportunity at the time of pickup to inspect the animal and may refuse it if they believe it is not in acceptable health. Once an animal leaves our property, we cannot warrant its health, condition, or viability. All sales are final. Removal of an animal from our property constitutes acceptance of the animal and agreement to all terms of sale.
Livestock are highly sensitive to stress, and health conditions can develop rapidly after transport or environmental changes. For that reason, we offer no warranties or guarantees regarding the future health or viability of any animal.
Exception - Breeding Soundness: If an animal sold as registered breeding stock is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a congenital or genetic condition that permanently prevents use in breeding, we will offer either a refund of the difference between breeding and pet pricing or a replacement, at our discretion. This exception applies only to defects that prevent successful reproduction – such as intersex conditions, freemartinism, or additional teats or orifices that impair breeding. Cosmetic traits or characteristics that may affect appearance or show potential are not covered.
Our herd is tested annually for CAE, CL, and Johne's disease. Additional testing may be arranged upon request at the buyer's expense.
Parasite management on our property emphasizes prevention and targeted treatment. We use herbal products and pasture management strategies and perform fecal testing at least three times per year, with additional testing as needed. When necessary, veterinary-prescribed medications are used.
We strongly recommend a fecal examination within one to two weeks of bringing a new goat home, with treatment administered as indicated. Changes in environment and management can significantly affect parasite load.
If a doe is sold as bred, we cannot guarantee that she will settle, maintain pregnancy, or carry live, healthy kids to term. Stress associated with relocation can affect pregnancy outcomes.
If a doe is sold in milk, we cannot guarantee that she will maintain production levels or continue lactation after relocation. Milk production is influenced by stress, nutrition, management practices, and environment.
Our breeding stock is selected from strong, well-established lines, including animals with milk awards and show titles in their pedigrees. Even so, this does not guarantee that any individual animal or its offspring will be show quality, earn awards, or exhibit specific levels of milk production or udder quality. Genetic outcomes vary and cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
In the interest of transparency, we disclose known faults or areas for improvement in each animal and actively work to correct them through responsible breeding.
Milk production and udder development are influenced by genetics, management, nutrition, environment, and stress. Production levels observed here may differ from what's achieved in another herd, and we cannot guarantee specific production amounts even when historical data is available.
