Raindrop | Mini Nubian Doe

Wendy at Soaring Heart’s originally planned to retain Raindrop, but ultimately decided to let her come here, and we are incredibly grateful. She has been a standout from the beginning.

Raindrop is a powerful, wide doe with great body depth and presence – a noticeably different type from our Green Gables does, and intentionally so. She brings strength and durability to our herd while staying correct and balanced, making her valuable both as a producer and as a doe we want to breed from. She shows consistent width through the chest floor and pelvis and strong body depth, with a large, capacious udder that matches her frame. Rear attachment is wide and high, fore attachment is well-blended and correctly attached, and the whole udder is buttery soft and milks out easily – a functional quality that matters as much as anything you can see in a photo.

Her first freshening DHI record confirmed what we suspected: she is a serious producer. She finished with 1,380 lbs at 305 days with 6.6% fat and 91 lbs of butterfat – a combination of volume and components that is genuinely hard to find. She turns blue eyes and moonspots on her kids reliably, as her 2025 litter demonstrated.

Her sire is Soaring Heart’s Dean David RN *B ↗ and her dam is Soaring Heart’s Singin’ in the Rain 3*D ↗. Her maternal granddam is FMCH VMCH FGCH Soaring Heart’s Purple Rain 2*P ↗, a four-time MDGA Grand Champion and one of the most decorated does in the breed.
