Goober is a 2025 home-bred Experimental doe, the product of crossing our own Riesling with SWAK CrazyTrain, a Purebred Guernsey buck. The goal with this cross was straightforward: put Riesling’s deep Haycreeks and Autumn-Acres production genetics into a Guernsey Experimental package and see what we get. Goober is the first result.
Her dam, Riesling, is our anchor Oberhasli doe – as a second Freshener, she scored GVVG 84, near-Elite production eval, 2F DHI 2,156 lbs with 4.4% fat, A/A Alpha-s1 casein, and expected ADGA Top Ten. Her maternal grandsire is *B Haycreeks Sandman Traveler 89 VEE ↗; her maternal granddam is Autumn-Acres Ruby’s Risotto ↗, who placed 1st in the Intermediate Kid class at the 2021 ADGA National Show. Her sire, SWAK CrazyTrain, is a Purebred Guernsey buck whose paternal granddam, Sheepcreek Gypsum, is noted for rear udder height, body depth, and dairyness in LA scoring.
Goober is a dry yearling as of spring 2026 and has not yet been appraised or freshened. She is dual registered with ADGA as an Experimental and with the British Guernsey Society (BGS) as SR.
As a 2025 doeling, Goober is still very early in development. She represents a solid foundation animal with the genetic potential to mature into a correct, functional doe well suited to a long-term Experimental program.
