"Bee" - JKShrunkTheKids HBR There You'll Be

Lady has arguably the nicest udder among our Mini Nubians, and we’re excited to see whether she passes that on to her kids!

We paired Ron with Lady very intentionally. Lady is a refined, dairy doe with a high, tight udder, but she benefits from improvement in chest width, foreleg spacing, and rump structure. Ron brings proven skeletal width, depth, and levelness without coarsening, and his dam is a strong, wide doe with a very nice udder as well.

Bee is already showing exactly what we hoped for from this pairing. She is wider than Lady was at the same age, with more open foreleg spacing and a more level rear end. Her width reads early and structurally, not as a temporary growth phase. She is a solid, rich brown doeling with excellent balance and presence – Jess dreamed about finally getting a nice, solid brown kid before Bee was born, and this girl truly feels like a dream come true.

Structurally, Bee shows moderate-plus chest width for her age, a level topline with good early strength, and a rump that is longer and more correct than her dam’s at the same stage. Her legs track straight with firm pasterns, and she carries a tall, open escutcheon indicating strong future udder potential. On the dam side sits the Belle line, which has produced some of the best udders we have seen in this herd – we are very much looking forward to what Bee brings at her first freshening.
