Lady | Mini Nubian Doe

Lady has been one of our favorites since day one, and she continues to be a doe we value for consistency, longevity, and pedigree strength.

She comes from a line known for strong udders and solid milk production. Her dam was one of her breeder’s top milkers and the 2023 MDGA Fall V-Show Grand Champion, while her sire has a proven track record of producing correct, productive daughters. Lady has followed her family pattern of slower, steadier maturation.

Like many does from this line, Lady went through several awkward growth phases as a young doe, but she has continued to even out with maturity. By 2025, she presents as a balanced, functional doe with an udder that remains one of her defining strengths – extremely high and tight, with excellent teat placement and attachment that has held up well beyond her first freshening.

As a first freshener, Lady struggled with mineral balance during and after pregnancy, which impacted her early production and overall performance. That experience directly led us to implement a mineral buffet across the herd going into 2024. With improved mineral access and management now in place, Lady is a doe we expect to continue improving in future lactations rather than plateauing early.
