Dolly is our girl. She was the very first goat we chose to bring home, and she remains a cornerstone doe whose influence on our herd is both practical and personal.
She finished 2024 as the #1 MDGA Top Ten doe for Butterfat % – achieving that as a first freshener, no less, with 6.8% BF on 981 lbs of milk. That is not a fluke. It is the Belle line doing what the Belle line does, and Dolly carries it as well as any doe we have seen from this breeding.
Her rear udder is exceptional – wide, high attachment with a well-defined medial suspensory, mostly-correct teat placement, and a level floor. Her fore udder is where we are honest with you: she has a pocket at the fore attachment. We believe the sheer volume she produced as a first freshener put stress on her fore attachment before it had fully developed, but a pocket is a pocket and we note it plainly. It has not affected her function or production, and her rear continues to be outstanding.

, and her dam is Green Gables CGF She’s a Peach 5*P . Her maternal granddam is Green Gables DT Southern Belle 4*P – the same doe who is the dam of our Lady, making Dolly and Lady half-siblings through their sire and closely related through the Belle line on the dam side as well. The butterfat numbers across both does are not a coincidence.
Her 2024 daughter Legs is long, level, and one of the does we’ve been most excited to see freshen.
