Legs | Mini Nubian Doe

As soon as Legs was born – after her teeny breech brother and before her still-in-the-sack sister – we knew she was our keeper.

We had been hoping to add more length to our goats, and Swiftie delivered that immediately. She is one of the longest kids we have bred, with clean lines and excellent overall balance. Add in the heart-slash-Batman logo on her back, and the decision was sealed.

Structurally, Swiftie represents a clear step forward from her dam Dolly. She shows improved front-end cleanliness, more length through the body, and a level topline with good loin strength. Her chest width is moderate and open for a Mini Nubian – not power-wide, but clearly not narrow – and her foreleg spacing reads correct rather than tight.

She freshened in 2026 as a first freshener, and her udder has been one of the more encouraging things we have seen from a young doe in this herd. Wide rear attachment with a clearly defined medial suspensory, smooth fore blending without the pocket her dam carries, and (slightly) more correctly placed teats – we’d like them to come in a tiny bit more, but they’re better than Dolly’s. She is still settling in and we are excited to see where she lands as she matures into her lactation.

She inherited her sire Smoothie‘s polled gene and carries lighter moonspots of her own. Her dam is the 2024 MDGA Top Ten #1 Butterfat % doe, and we have every expectation that the components will follow.
