Bambi | Mini Nubian Doe

As soon as Bambi was born – breech and last, behind her tiny also-breech sister and massive chonk of a brother – we knew she had to stay.

Tiramisu has grown into a well-sized, balanced doe that sits comfortably in the middle of our herd. She has real length through the body and rump, above-average skeletal width for her frame – especially through the chest floor and foreleg spacing – and a clean, smooth front end. Her width is expressed cleanly rather than coarsely, and her topline is level with developing strength. Rump length is a clear asset with correct slope and thurl placement. She carries a tall, open escutcheon indicating strong future udder potential. She has the Experimental status from weaker ears – but as they always say, you can’t milk ears! Overall, she’s a structurally clean, well-built doe.

Her sire is Moorheart’s Wylee, whose dam FMCH Blackberry’s Charcoal 2*P is a four-time MDGA Grand Champion and Best Udder winner, and whose paternal grandsire’s dam is a two-time ADGA National Show Best Udder winner. Her dam is Green Gables CGF Lil Swiss Girl 2*P, a 2024 MDGA Top Ten doe for Butterfat %, with roots in the Skillman herd. Together, Tiramisu’s pedigree brings some of the best of the East Coast Skillman lines and West Coast CA Blackberry lines into a single animal – two Top Ten dam backgrounds, two very different type strengths – and we are genuinely excited to see what she brings to her first freshening.
